How it started
At Auteur, we believe clothing should tell a story.
We’re all about timeless pieces that feel good to wear — garments that age beautifully and are made with purpose. Our focus is on heritage menswear from some of the best American and Japanese brands around, like Freenote Cloth, Sugar Cane, and Mister Freedom. Everything we stock is chosen for its quality, character, and staying power.
In 2023, we opened our bricks-and-mortar store in Chorlton, Manchester — a space where people can slow down, explore the details, and get to know the stories behind the clothes.
Our Store
We are proper old school bricks and mortar menswear shop where you can come in browse, have a chat and try the clothes on.
The shop is located on Beech Road in Chorlton , South Manchester.
Chorlton if you’ve never been is a great little pocket of independent businesses just a short drive or tram stop journey from Manchester City Centre. There’s plenty to see & do and a great place for a day out.
