The U.S. Navy introduced the denim gas protective parka in the early 1940s as part of its chemical warfare defence system. Designed as a pullover with a loose, functional silhouette.
We see this more in line with a classic utilitarian smock so works as a perfect mid layer or as a lightweight jacket in warmer months. Made from a Japanese raw denim with contrast white stitching.
- Vintage U.S Military Replica
- Made In Japan
- Two Waist pockets
- Contast White stitching details
- Double button fastening.
- 6 large buttons
- Drawcord on hood and hem
The Fit: Measurements look generous, due to the classic Smock Cut. We would still recommend taking your normal tag size.
Care: Japanese raw denim folks, so wear it as long as possible prior to that first wash. Wash cool, inside out, spin off and hang dry. Please note indigo may rub off onto lighter fabrics.
